Our
Values, Ethos & Vision

Our Primary values

At Beaulieu Primary, faith is at the heart of our school, guiding us to nurture confident, curious, and compassionate learners who are empowered to grow, explore, and thrive in all aspects of their lives.

Independence

Our school fosters independence by encouraging students to take responsibility for their learning, make choices, embrace challenges, reflect on progress, and develop their strengths, while teachers guide, support, and provide opportunities for self-directed growth

Creativity

Our school nurtures creativity by encouraging students to think independently, explore ideas, take risks, experiment, and express learning in diverse ways, while teachers provide flexible guidance, resources, and opportunities for enquiry and innovation

Collaboration

At Beaulieu, we encourage students to work together, respect diverse perspectives, support and learn from each other, and contribute to shared goals, while teachers foster teamwork, reflection, and a sense of community.

Spirituality

Spirituality is central, nurturing each student’s faith journey, sense of awe, moral development, and reflection, while teachers provide opportunities for prayer, contemplation, and discussion to support personal growth and understanding of the Catholic faith

Challenge

Our school promotes challenge by encouraging students to embrace difficult tasks, develop resilience, persevere through setbacks, and take ownership of their learning, while teachers provide guidance, strategies, and opportunities to stretch every pupil to reach their full potential.

Our Secondary values

The Beaulieu community places faith at the centre of our School. Faith is the “good news” that Jesus taught us, and the Gospel values lived and shared in assemblies and RE lessons help us navigate social, moral, and spiritual issues and are central to Beaulieu’s mission and our four core values.

Challenge

A Beaulieu student is on a journey to adulthood. We challenge our students to be the very best they can be and encourage them to find their own voice, to question injustice, and to push for the highest standards.

Opportunity

Our students achieve excellent academic results, but this is not our sole focus. We provide a wealth of opportunities and expect our students to embrace them. Lifelong friendships, love of learning, a passion for innovation and technology, and a commitment to service, mean our students are ready for the world and eager to make a difference.

Respect

At Beaulieu, we promote respect for the school, its community, and our wider society. We acknowledge diversity and are kind and welcoming to those around us.

Endeavour

We encourage our children and students to put everything into every task. We know we are better when we work together. We look beyond the curriculum to develop a wider range of skills and talents that constantly surprise and delight teachers, parents, the community, and even the students themselves.

Our mission

Beaulieu is a nurturing educational community, rooted in the charism of the Founding Order of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception: toute de charité (entirely in love).

Welcoming and valuing their uniqueness, this Catholic school offers them a Christian environment full of opportunities to develop their talents and character, and equipping them for their adventure in this world to live lives of love and service.

Our ethos

Beaulieu is a Catholic School providing an excellent education in a caring, Christian environment. The ethos of the School, based on Gospel values, encourages every member of the School community to strive for excellence.

Students are encouraged to work collaboratively, to believe in hard work and services to others, to see and seek out the good in each other, and to respect and protect our common home, the environment. They are respected and respect others, learning that equality in diversity, which celebrates difference and creates unity, enables each of them to grow at their own rate. They are encouraged to develop their talents academically, creatively, culturally, and spiritually and to grow into happy, emotionally mature, resilient adults.

Educating students to develop their gifts and personal attributes to the full is seen by Beaulieu as an act of love. It is a way of helping those who live in our Beaulieu community to be equipped for life in this world in such a way that they will make this world a better place through love, live happily with a deep-seated joy that cannot be shaken by anything that life throws at them and slowly, throughout a lifetime, become the saint they were always called to be.
