Your child at our heart
The Beaulieu ethos is to create a space where students are encouraged to explore new opportunities, cultivate their passions, and discover interests that will stay with them for life.
We focus on encouraging an environment where our children and students feel able to talk freely and openly about their worries or problems to any staff member. Our staff are trained to respond appropriately and offer advice, support, guidance and reassurance. We also have a dedicated and trained school counsellor available to work with students during the school day.
The love and care for our students is intrinsic in all we do and, where necessary, we will shape a pastoral support programme for individual children to manage their needs.
This means that all our staff are invested in the outstanding pastoral care at Beaulieu, so that our children and students are happy, secure and look forward to coming to school each day.
Wellbeing and happiness
At Beaulieu, we support all of our students to be happy, confident, and to make a positive contribution to our school and the wider world, so that they may reach their full potential both academically and personally.
To do this, we offer a variety of facilities and support services to promote their wellbeing and happiness.
●Sports facilities: Our impressive sports facilities provide everyone at Beaulieu with plenty of opportunities to develop their physical health. Our physical education programme is also linked to mental health and self-esteem, which are promoted in school.
●Buddy system: We have a buddy system where older students guide and advise younger ones. All our students have a strong bond with their class and mentors, who fully support our students.
●Student Services: Our Student Services Team is dedicated to student wellbeing. Each year group is allocated a full-time, non-teaching Student Services Officer, who is available throughout the school day to offer support and guidance. Our school counsellor also works with students who have particular pastoral care needs. There is always someone to talk to.
Safeguarding at Beaulieu
Safeguarding is taken very seriously at Beaulieu to ensure all students and staff are as safe as possible in and out of school. Or focus centres on all our children and students reaching their full potential, and our school environment must help children and students to feel and be safe to achieve this.
We are a community. Our staff, governors, volunteers, parents, families, children and students all have an essential role to play in making it safe and secure.
All staff are trained regularly and kept up to date with current information and legislation. We encourage pupils and staff to report any safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and/or deputies as quickly as possible so that we can deal with concerns in the appropriate way.
