Lifelong friendships
Pre-school is where children take their first steps into the Beaulieu school community. The children will be introduced to our school’s core values and learn how to model these characteristics in their everyday work and play.
In our Foundation stage at Beaulieu we aim to provide:
a caring environment
a place to 'have a go' without fear of failure
a place where we are all thought of as special
a place where we know what we say matters
a place where we understand that what we say can affect others
a place where self-esteem is given a high priority
a place where creativity is encouraged
We recognise that every child is unique and develops and learn in different ways and at their own pace. We at Beaulieu believe every girl has a different learning journey, and it is our role to support them on this journey. Our classes provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners. Our caring staff works closely with parents to support their child's wellbeing, fostering both emotional and academic growth in a safe, secure, and inspiring environment.
Happy children
We want all children to be happy and enjoy their early experiences in school. We aim to nurture children’s natural curiosity and zest for learning and channel it appropriately. We want to ensure learning is based on enjoyment and challenge and that children develop the confidence to explore, investigate, and make sense of the world. Through a thoughtfully planned, well-balanced, creative, and well-structured approach to all aspects of the curriculum, we enable children to develop a variety of skills both in the classroom and by taking part in outdoor learning.
Our grounds provide the perfect setting for both indoor and outdoor learning experiences, with teaching teams collaborating to support each child's individual progress. Our new forest school area is frequently used, and outdoor learning is a key part of our curriculum, helping students connect with nature and develop essential life skills. We are also fortunate to offer specialist teaching in music and PE, all supported by classroom teachers.
At Beaulieu, we promote a strong emphasis on creativity, independence, and resilience. We are proud to have very happy children here who thrive in a supportive, engaging, and caring environment; their enthusiasm for learning is at the heart of everything we do.Â
Rich learning environment
We foster a love of learning in our pupils at the earliest possible stage. The curriculum is rich and varied and driven by the interests and fascinations of the children; along with a range of other creative and engaging stimuli.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum focuses on three prime areas of learning: communication and language, physical development, and personal, social and emotional development. These are fundamental to supporting children's development. In addition, the curriculum includes four specific areas: literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design, all of which build on the foundation set by the prime areas. Learning is a wonderful mixture of teacher and child-led activities and focuses on holistic development, with wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
We truly believe that the early years of a child’s life are crucial in securing the solid foundations needed for future learning and development. It is our aim to fully support and encourage each unique child to reach their full potential, and we will be there every step of the way to guide and support them on this journey.
