Sixth Form

Taking ownership of your future

As a member of the Beaulieu Sixth Form, you will work closely with dedicated teaching and pastoral staff to achieve your academic and personal potential.

We invite boys to join us, as the Sixth Form at Beaulieu is co-educational. Sixth Form provides a student-led approach to learning and the opportunity for independent study. Beaulieu enjoys having the broadest 11–18 curriculum in Jersey, and we ensure that every student can tailor their education to suit their ambitions. From academic disciplines to creative and vocational pathways, we provide a diverse range of subjects and opportunities. We are also proud to be part of the Collaborative Schools Curriculum, working in partnership with Victoria College, Jersey College for Girls, and De La Salle, which further expands the academic and enrichment opportunities available to our students.

At this exciting time of decision and choice, a stable and trusted support network is a real asset. Each Sixth Form student is allocated a form tutor and is supported by the Student Services Team, with a dedicated Student Services Officer focusing on their wellbeing. Benefiting from smaller teaching groups, our Sixth Formers regularly enjoy excellent A-level and BTEC results, with students frequently achieving grades at the highest level.

Careers guidance

Career guidance is an integral part of Sixth Form life, and we encourage our Sixth Formers to undertake work experience relevant to their career aspirations. Our relationships with local businesses are strong, offering Institute of Directors and medical insight days, and our students remain highly sought after by employers locally.

A large proportion of our students choose to go to University, with regular success stories that include successful applications to the competitive fields of Medicine and Veterinary Science, along with the highly sought-after Russell Group universities. Students are supported through the UCAS process, with the help of our Sixth Form and Careers team.

Developing leadership skills

Our aim is to ensure all students leave Beaulieu with skills that set them apart and boost their confidence. A range of physical, cultural, creative, mental and emotional activities are on offer to enable our students to learn new skills and develop the whole individual.

Our House system also offers valuable leadership opportunities for Sixth Form students as they are given the responsibility of leading their house in a range of events and fundraising activities. Through this leadership role, Sixth Form students develop essential skills such as communication, organisation, and team management, while making a lasting impact on their peers and the wider school community.

Beaulieu students leave as enthused, well-grounded and versatile young adults, resilient and well prepared for the pressures and opportunities of the next stage in their lives.

A Level results

We are immensely proud of our results, with 86% of our students achieving an A*-C and, notably, 34% of all grades achieved were A* or A.

Additionally, 98% of students seeking higher education were accepted into their first or second choice of university.
