Celebrating Our Recent Inspection Success

We are delighted to share the outcome of our recent Catholic Schools Inspection, which recognises the many strengths of our school community and the positive experience of our students.

At the heart of the report is a clear message: our school is a place where young people feel they belong. Inspectors highlighted the “strong sense of belonging and family within the whole community”, reflecting the supportive relationships that exist between students, staff and families. This sense of community creates an “environment of compassion which enables pupils to be themselves”, allowing every child to grow in confidence and feel valued.

One of the most striking aspects of the report is the recognition of our students’ character and contribution. Inspectors noted that students are “active in their service of others” and take the lead in charitable initiatives, which are embedded into daily school life. These opportunities help develop empathy, responsibility and an understanding of the wider world, contributing to the “happy atmosphere around school” that students themselves describe.

Relationships across the school were also praised, with students demonstrating respect and inclusivity. As one student shared, “I can walk into any room and there is a friend. There is no hierarchy of friendship groups.” This reflects a culture where everyone is welcomed and supported, regardless of background.

The report also highlights the confidence our students develop during their time with us. One Year 6 student captured this powerfully, saying: “School has given us the confidence to stand up for what is right.” This sense of personal growth is something we are incredibly proud of, as we aim to nurture not only academic success but also integrity and resilience.

In the classroom, inspectors recognised the strength of teaching and learning, particularly in religious education, where students demonstrate strong subject knowledge and enjoy opportunities to discuss and reflect on different perspectives. Across the school, teachers were praised for their excellent subject knowledge and the positive relationships they built with students, which underpinned strong progress and engagement.

Leadership was also recognised as a key strength. Inspectors described leaders as “energised, joyful and determined”, with a clear commitment to supporting the development of the whole child. This vision is shared across the school and is evident in both the opportunities offered to students and the care provided to staff and families.

We are grateful to our entire community - students, staff, parents and governors - whose commitment and support make our school such a special place. This report affirms the values we strive to live out every day and inspires us to continue building on these strengths for the future.
